Misty Morning Barn sits on 32 private acres east of Fort Myers, a working farm with a weathered timber barn at its centre and five separate ceremony sites spread across the grounds. Cypress, mature oaks and Spanish moss ring a pond that catches the last of the light, and the barn interior runs to soaring beams, iron chandeliers and slatted walls that throw stripes of sun across the floor late in the day. Seating for 200 comes with the room, along with linens, draping and lighting, and there are no vendor fees — bring a food truck or a plated caterer, whichever suits.

“I photographed Kelli and Bradley here in late December and the grounds did most of the work for me. The 32 acres mean you can shoot for an hour without repeating a backdrop — cypress and Spanish moss by the pond, open pasture, the barn's weathered boards. The barn's slatted walls are the thing to plan around: through golden hour they cut the light into stripes across the floor, which is beautiful and unforgiving in equal measure, so I keep couple portraits outside until the sun is properly down and come back in for the string lights. Blue hour on the barn with the fire pit lit is the frame worth holding time for.”
