The Kampong is a historic botanical garden on the shores of Biscayne Bay in Coconut Grove, the personal estate of plant explorer David Fairchild and now owned by the National Tropical Botanical Garden. The nine-acre garden is a living museum of rare tropical plants collected from across the Indo-Pacific, with mature canopy trees, a freshwater pond, and bayfront views creating a setting of extraordinary natural beauty. Private events at The Kampong are intentionally limited in frequency, making each wedding a genuinely exclusive experience. Ceremonies are held on the bayfront lawn or within the shaded garden paths, with the historic Kampong house available for intimate receptions of up to 100 guests.

Sunset times are calculated for this venue's coordinates, shown in EDT for the 15th of each month in 2026. Golden hour is the 60 minutes before sunset. The ceremony start is my rule of thumb — about 2 hours before sunset, so a short ceremony and family photos still leave the two of you in golden light. Adjust it to your own timeline. Average temperatures and rainfall are NOAA 1991–2020 normals from MIAMI WSO CITY, 1.9 miles away.
