Springwood Conference Center

Verona, PA

Photographed here byRob Craven

Springwood is a conference centre and event venue at Verona, north-east of Pittsburgh, with ceremony sites spread across the grounds — a garden square, a gazebo and a stone patio, all wired into the house sound system — plus a glass atrium for winter ceremonies. Catering is in-house and outside caterers are rarely permitted. Packages include three butler-served hors d'oeuvres, an eight-foot cookie table with linen, champagne flutes for the toasts, and music through the ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner, with waitstaff at roughly one to every twenty guests. The rain plan is real rather than notional: a vaulted pavilion enclosed with glass walls at the Manor, and a 30 by 40 foot tent at the Villa from May to September. A villa on site sleeps six.

Sunset times are calculated for this venue's coordinates, shown in EDT for the 15th of each month in 2026. Golden hour is the 60 minutes before sunset. The ceremony start is my rule of thumb — about 2 hours before sunset, so a short ceremony and family photos still leave the two of you in golden light. Adjust it to your own timeline. Average temperatures and rainfall are NOAA 1991–2020 normals from ACMETONIA LOCK 3, 2.5 miles away.
